Bontrager Aquisition By Trek-Trek Press ReleaseFisher Bicycle Corperation March 10, 1995 Dear Fisher Dealer, Trek Bicycle Corporation has just completed an acquisition that offers FIsher Dealers a new opportunity to grow sales and profits. Trek bought Bontrager Bicycles, Inc., based in Santa Cruz, Calif., a premier name in the industry . Bontrager is now a subsidary of Trek. In terms of what this acquisition means for you, Bontrager has a full line of accessories that will be available to all Fisher dealers next season. In addition, we expect to make use of Bontrager's well-known design expertise to develop a number if hot new products, including bike components and new models, for introduction in dealers, primarily in areas where the brand is under-represented. Bontrager now has 150 dealers. Bontrager will keep its design and production operation based at its current location in Santa Cruz, Calif., directly supervised by Keith Bontrager. Keith will continue as president of Bontrager Cycles. Sales and marketing for the brand will probably be consolidated in Waterloo. If you have any questions about the Bontrager acquisition, please feel free to call me at (414) 478-3532. Sincerely,
