Why Call for Frame & Complete Bike Prices?

We can quote a price lower than the makers "suggested list price" on the phone
All makers of frames and complete bikes publish a "suggested list price" they expect the retailer to adhere to.... at least in print.

This is why in our ad section it says "Call" for the price. If we don't print the price we are prepared to sell it at then it doesn't undermine the makers price position. It also leaves the maker able to tell other store owners (who may call to complain about our pricing) that Bike-Pro does not print a price below their "suggested list" price. The printed copy of the lower price may become the basis of their refusing to make future deliveries.
We are able to quote a price lower than the "List" on the phone.
There is also the possibility of making a package of the frame and any other part. Selling them for a combined price as a unit permits a full range of price flexibility because there is no unique price for either item as they are sold as a "kit" or a "bundle".
