[A retail and international mail order company selling bicycles and bicycle parts to cycling enthusiasts]

• Coordinated all operations of Mail Order Sales (70%), Retail Sales and Service (30%) and warehouse shipping functions.
  
• Automated business to maximize inventory turn over and return on investment using DEC VAX computer system running ADP/GSI TOLAS Distribution software package. Automation involved system modification designs, testing and implementation to make TOLAS more useful for retail & mail order sales environment.
  
• Wrote, designed and laid out in desk top environment all print media ads and color catalogs. Created and re-touched all the digital still images for the catalogs.
  
• Developed Internet marketing presence bikepro.com in late 1994, which became the first and largest Internet site related to bicycles. It featured tabled product comparisons, a mirrored secure server allowing customers world wide to place encrypted secure orders and submit their name and address to be included in our print mailings. The submitted email addresses were used to send automated bulk email sales messages.
  
• Designed and installed the internal LAN and desktop systems used by our email & phone agents.
  
• Designed and built the facility for our phone agents, including the Hayworth work areas, configured and programmed our PBX phone switch, and performed the data and telephone wiring.

I'm one of those nuts who recites dialog from movies. When you think about it the screenwriters are paid a great deal of money to craft each line perfectly. When I find the same circumstances, I think its clever to use something clever from a movie.

I am the site manager for our computer systems.

We use a 3 node Vax cluster running OpenVMS 7.2 as the OS to run the business.

I use Macintoshes extensively for the graphics work involved in our ad, and Buyer's Guide

We also use several PC's as the front end (running terminal emulation software from Persoft) of our order fulfillment system.

We are using SGI Indy's running IRIX 6.2 (unix) and HP 735's & 730's running HP-UX 11.0 as our web and mail servers. We also use this system for image re-touching and editing using Photoshop

I logged a year and half working on an HP-9000/K-220 running HP-UX 10.20

I am also working on Microsoft NT systems and getting familair with Visual Studio Professional 6.x->

This next shot is of a dew laden pine branch tip. The definition is remarkable. There are 2 versions of this. One is 72 dpi, the other is 200 dpi so it will allow you to peer more deeply into the image.
